Applications
National X-Ray is in the business of providing solutions. We realize
and appreciate that every application is somewhat unique. Yet our
successful experience meeting the needs of a wide-ranging variety
of applications has helped us become experts at getting to the heart
of our customers' needs.
Some of the more popular applications and industries for which
we have developed solutions include Castings, Assembly, Verification,
Welding, Process Control and Electronics. Please explore these sections
and learn more about how we have helped outer companies. Then, let's
discuss how National X-Ray can help meet the challenges you face.

Casting |
|
In the casting industry, x-raying of cast products has been
used primarily as a Quality Assurance tool to inspect castings
for various anomalies like shrink and porosity. Obviously,
casters wanted to eliminate or move any anomalies to a less
sensitive part of the casting to avoid further machining problems.
Today, many casters use their Real-Time x-ray system as an
integral part of their design and engineering to create and
produce high quality castings for such demanding industries
as automotive or aircraft.
Here at National X-Ray, we offer a variety of x-ray systems
and detection devices that are tuned to specific applications.
Based on our many years of experience, there is a strong possibility
that we'll have the right prescription of products to give
you the desired result for your needs. Please call or e-mail
us with your application. |

Product Assembly |
|
Many products produced today are incorporated into larger
entities like airplanes or automobiles. With the increased
emphasis on high reliability and quality that is engineered
in, Real-Time X-Ray provides an excellent tool for verifying
that all the subcomponents are present and therefore good
functionality can be assured. Products like safety airbags
and braking systems (just to name two) are product systems
that need to work the first time and every time. We can provide
Real-Time systems that assure you that your products have
all the necessary components; nothing less and nothing more.
Perhaps your product is of a design that requires an inspection
technique that is non-destructive or non-invasive. Real-Time
X-Ray provides a solution for many of these inspection routines
to verify your product proper assembly.
Here at National X-Ray, we offer a variety of x-ray systems
and detection devices that are tuned to specific applications.

Welding |
|
In fabricating various piping and tubing products, welding
verification becomes a key component of the integrity of your
product. API and DOT standards and requirements for welded
products must be fulfilled by fabricators. Real-Time x-ray
provides a very viable solution to these very demanding inspection
criteria. While x-ray has been in use as an inspection device
for some time, new developments in detection offer higher
quality and increased throughput for your production facility.
We'd welcome the opportunity to work with you and your application
for welded products. There are many new products that we offer
that could give you a clearer and strong image of your welds.
Here at National X-Ray, we offer a variety of x-ray systems
and detection devices that are tuned to specific welding applications.
Not all welded product applications lend themselves to Real-Time
x-ray applications, but we'd still ask you to contact us,
regardless, as we can advise you on the best possible solution.

Process Control |
|
Process control is a method allowing production outcome to
be predicted with a relatively high degree of repeatability.
Process control adopts methodologies and techniques that assist
you in continuing that predictability. This tool can help
you establish the criteria for charting your results and aid
you when anomalies occur that impact on your established goals.
Given the specifics of your application, we may be able to
help you improve your SPC through Real-Time x-ray of a portion
of the process to improve quality and reliability.

Electronics |
|
There are a number of applications wherein Real-Time x-ray
may be a solution to imaging your electronic components. Modules
that are completed products don't lend themselves to destructive
testing, either in case of initial production or with warranty
work. Micro-focus x-ray systems and a number of detectors
offer exciting options for non-destructive examination of
applications in the electronic space. We can offer resolution
in the micron and at the pixel level of detection. We have
provided detection systems that can adequately image ball
grid arrays and electronic board level anomalies.
